The challenge
The project sat on an island, where any delay in material transport translates directly into schedule delay. The brief called for a 10,500 m² store with long clear spans, delivered to a hard deadline with a limited on-site workforce.
Our solution
We built entirely from precast elements — columns, beams and roof units were produced off site and delivered ready for erection. This was the first JUMBO store constructed this way; the method sharply reduced on-site work and neutralised much of the risk carried by island logistics.
